This year Ramadan started on May 27 and will finish on June 24. It is a holy month for Muslims. This month I am refraining from eating and drinking form dawn to dusk, every day about 18 hours. AMA.
During the blessed month of Ramadan, Muslims all over the world abstain from all food, drink, and other physical needs during the daylight hours. But Ramadan is much more than just not eating and drinking: it is a time to purify the soul, refocus attention on God and practice self-discipline and sacrifice.
